Seventh Annual Jong Bonaire Swim to Klein Bonaire is October 7th, 2007

Each year, Jong Bonaire, the island’s youth center, organizes a swim to Klein Bonaire as a fund-raising effort.  Over the past several years, this has become a major event for the residents of Bonaire, as well as tourists who may be on the island at the time.  In 2006, 348 persons of all ages took part in the swim.

To begin the week of Regatta activities, the Jong Bonaire Swim will be held on October 7th, and the swim will commence from the beach at Eden Beach Resort.  Cost is FL 25.00 per adult (USD $14.04) or FL 15.00 per child (USD $8.43), and the registration fee includes juice, fruit, and a t-shirt.  Participants can either swim one way, and take a boat back, or swim round-trip.
