Next Farmer’s Market and Simadan Festival to Be Held this Saturday April 23, 2011
This Saturday will be the April Farmer’s Market hosted by LVV, SKAL, Go Green and Kriabon, in conjunction with the annual harvest festival Simadan. It’s a great chance for visitors and locals to try local produce and enjoy the local culture of the Simadan celebration. It will be held in a new location at Kriabon, on Kaminda Jatu Bako #55 to provide more space.
The Farmer’s Market will be held from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Produce for sale includes watermelon, pumpkins, tomatoes, cucumbers, herbs, and other fruits and vegetables. Plants will also be available for sale, along with local food, home remedies and sweets.

The highlight of the day will be the Simadan celebration, which is the traditional harvest festival, held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The Simadan parade will start at 4:00 PM in the Sentro Bario of Nikiboko and will proceed along a route to Kaya Pos di Amor, Kaya Nikiboko Nort, to Kaminda Jatu Bako, ending at Kriabon, where entertainment will be provided by the musical group Eso.

All are invited to attend. Call 717-4587 for any questions. (Source: Go Green Natural and Organic Shop)
