Next BWC Mountain Bike Challenge Race is Sunday, November 1st, 2009
Bonaire Wellness Connexions will hold their next mountain bike race of the season on Bonaire on November 1, 2009. For the first time, they are organizing a challenging race with a lot of single-tracks and climbing, plus a technical downhill section.
The race will start at the entrance to Sabadeco Terrace and continues through the hills of Seru Largu and Santa Barbara. The following categories will be available:
Adults: Sunday, November 1, 2009 at 7:00 AM
--Sport Men/Women 2 Laps (16 km)
--Junior 15/16 years old 3 Laps (24 km)
--Junior 17/18 years old 4 Laps (32km)
--Sub Master Men/Women 36-48 years old: 4 Laps (32km)
--Master Men/Women 49+: 3 Laps (24 km)
--Elite Women 4 Laps (32 km)
--Elite Men: 5 Laps (40 km)
Kids: Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 4:00 PM (Note that the kids’ race will take place on a different race location.)
--8–9 years old 1 Lap (4.4 km)
--10–12 years old 2 Laps (8.8 km)
--13–14 years old 2 Laps (8.8 km)
Entry Fees: For men and women, FL 25.00 (USD $15.00), kids under 18, FL 10.00 (USD $6.00). Those wishing to participate must pre-register prior to the race day at the Bonaire Wellness Connexions headquarters. No registrations will be accepted the day of the race.
