Delta to Discontinue JFK-Bonaire Routing for 2010-2011 Season
The Bonaire Insider has learned today that Delta will not resume the JFK-Bon routing for the winter of 2010-2011 as originally planned.
Delta informed the Tourist Board that the Caribbean region has not done as well as expected this past year for Delta, and thus they have had to make a strategic re-alignment and they will be reducing flights throughout the region. Delta did confirm that the Atlanta flight remains on the schedule and all traffic normally using the JFK flight will have connections in Atlanta.
Continental Airlines has confirmed that both the Newark and Houston flights will continue pursuant to the current schedule and Insel Air has reported that they are in the final stages of completing their through fare agreement with US Airways. (Source: TCB-Bonaire)
