Curacao Airport Facility Fees to Increase for Those Connecting to Bonaire
Effective immediately, the Curacao Airport Partners (CAP) have increased their Passenger Facility Fee. Although the fee is increased for all passengers using the Curacao airport facilities, it will have an impact on those with flights originating in Curacao with travel to Bonaire, or those connecting either way from Bonaire to Curacao.
The extra revenues realized from the increase will be used to strengthen government entities as well as to improve the airport itself. There is a transitional period of three months for passengers who have already paid their PFF by buying their ticket before December 1st, 2012. The new PFF for passengers traveling to Bonaire, originating in Curacao, is $10.00 per person. All other destinations except Aruba or Sint Maarten will pay $39.00 per person. Those connecting to or from Bonaire will have to pay a transfer fee of $5.00 each time they connect through Curacao. (Source: Amigoe)
