New Species of Trapania Nudibranch Discovered in Bonaire
In August 2007, the Bonaire Insider published an article about a new nudibranch species discovered in Bonaire by Ellen Muller and we are happy to announce that this creature is now officially a new and described species.

The paper on the new Trapania species found in 2007 was published this month in the Caribbean Journal of Science. The name of this new nudibranch is Trapania bonellenae, a combination of Bonaire and Ellen. To view a copy of this paper, click here (in PDF format). To date, these nudibranchs haven’t been reported anywhere other than Bonaire. For more images of the Trapania nudibranch, visit Ellen’s Trapania bonellenae webpage by clicking here. Congratulations of the official news. I will definitely have to look for this little guy next time I am in Bonaire.
