Delta Airlines Considering Non-Stop Flights to Bonaire from Atlanta
Yesterday, here on Bonaire, a meeting took place with representatives of Delta Air Lines; the airline is seriously considering starting a weekly non-stop flight between Atlanta and Bonaire beginning Saturday, February 16, 2008.
If all goes as planned, Delta will provide a Boeing 737 - 800, which is equipped with 16 first class seats and 134 coach class seats. The flight will most likely leave Atlanta at 9:45 AM local time and arrive on Bonaire at approximately 2:00 PM. The return flight will depart Bonaire at 3:00 PM and will land in Atlanta at 7:00 PM. Both inbound--as well as outbound--flights will offer smooth connections to a number of important airports in the USA, such as Philadelphia, Baltimore, Chicago, Boston, Denver, San Francisco. and Los Angeles.
Delta will make its final decision soon, and it is expected to have the final confirmation within a few weeks. If this flight is added to the island’s United States airlift, the flights could be bookable as soon as mid-September. (Source: BONHATA)
