Cactus Blue Bar and Restaurant Celebrates Third Anniversary, Adds Lunch Service

Cactus Blue Bar and Restaurant opened three short years ago, and, in that time, it has become a popular eatery for many return visitors to Bonaire.  Recently, they celebrated their third anniversary with their customers, and they now begin their fourth year in business by augmenting their service to include a lunch menu.

The anniversary celebration began with the restaurant being festooned with balloons and paper streamers.  Both Corinna and Hagen, together with their sons, Sebastian, Florian, and Christian, and members of the staff, enjoyed a frenetic, but enjoyable evening, as the restaurant was fully booked. Island musical legend, Moogie, played his familiar sounds of Caribbean jazz and entertained the diners right up to closing hours. During the evening, both Corinna and Chef Hagen found time to mingle with all the diners, as well as hand out some presents.

The long awaited “Book of Recipes” was also made available and a copy was donated to the Rotary Club of Bonaire as an auction item to help raise money for the “Breakfast in Schools” project enabling more than one hundred local children to enjoy a nutritious and healthy breakfast every day while at school.

The restaurant begins its fourth year by augmenting their service to include lunch, served Monday through Friday, from 12:00 PM through 2:00 PM.  For more information, visit the Cactus Blue web site by clicking here(Source:  Cactus Blue Bar & Restaurant)

  1. Congradualtions!  I never heard of Caribbean Jazz, must be great music!  and if you ever see, Lucky Pop in there, don’t know if that is her last name anymore and if you see Mr. Koffee, forgot his first name, he is related to Lucky as she is known.  Tell them I said Hello from Maui.  And if Magalie is there, tell her I said, Hello from Maui.  I met some good friends there a long time ago.  Lucky use to work for that largest Radio Station on the island.  Is the EWOWO dance place still there?  Tell Ilsa, that I said hello too, her father use to be the owner, I never went there, just heard about it.  MISS YOU BONAIRE after all these years.
