As is the yearly custom each January first, there will be a presentation by the Maskarada group.

The group will begin at the home of Lt. Governor Thodé, at J.A. Abraham Blvd 76 at 10:00 AM.  After performing here, the group will continue to the Kas di Sosiegu (retirement home).

At 1:00 PM, they will perform in Wilhemina Park and afterwards will continue with the festivities at the home of Ludovico Nicolaas, Mrs. Tecla Piar, Mrs. Petra Thode, at Pension Jeta, at Shon Bubu Thielman’s, before finishing at 6:00 PM at the home of Commissioner Maritsa Silberie.  These presentations are all in the neighborhood of North Salina.

On Sunday, January 4th, the group will visit the neighborhoods of Antriol and Nikiboko.  The final celebration will begin at 9:00 AM at Panaderia Selekta.  (Source:  Island Government)

  2. Hi John, You won’t have to look far to find festivities on Bonaire on New Year’s Eve......simply walk out of wherever you are staying!  The island is one big party, with fireworks and other things “which go bang” all over the island.  If you’re looking more for organized parties, many of the larger resorts hold parties on their premises.  We haven’t received any information on these yet, but as the holidays approach, we’ll post news of any parties that we hear about.
