Classical Music Board Announces Next Concert to Be Held Saturday April 16
Venezuelan pianist Ana Karina Alamo will be performing at the next Classical Music Board concert on Saturday April 16, 2011 in Cacique Hall at Plaza Resort Bonaire starting at 7:30 PM.
Ms. Alamo is a highly regarded international soloist and started performing at the age of six with a recital for an audience of 500 people. Her concert debut was at the age of nine with the Jovenes Arcos Orchestra, where she performed the piece “Pequena Fantasia” which written for her by Alejandro Slobodianik. At the age of eleven, she recorded this work with the Venezuela Symphony Orchestra.
She has since performed with many groups including The Simon Bolivar Venezuelan Youth Orchestra, The San Francisco Symphony, The Fort Worth Symphony, The Maracaibo Symphony, and The New Amsterdam Symphony Orchestras. She has also appeared with The Chamber Orchestra of Venezuela, The Russian National Orchestra, and the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas, in many prestigious venues across South America, Europe and the United States.
Ms. Alamo will be playing selections from various artists including Beethoven, Schumann, Medtner, Scriabin and Lecuona.
