Classical Music Board Announces a Concert with Three Famous Baritones

Wednesday February 16, 2011 the Classical Music Board will present three famous Dutch baritones in concert on the beach at the Coconut Crash Beach Bar at Plaza Resort starting at 7:30 PM. 

Marco Bakker is known from his role in the musical “Cats”, Ernst Daniel Smid from his performance in “Un Voce Particolare” and Henk Poort is known for the lead role in “Phantom of the Opera.”

The baritones will be performing a variety of music including opera and operette from Italy and Austria, piecees from well known musicals, ballads from American composers, Negro spirituals accompanied on the piano by Hans Faassen, Antillean songs and jazz music including pieces from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, Jr. The Tutti Frutti choir and dance group from Bonaire will start off the program with some surprise numbers.

Tickets for the event may be purchased in advance at Addo’s Books and Toys, the Flamingo Bookstore in Kaya Grandi, the reception desk at Plaza Resort Bonaire and the Blue Mekong Restaurant for $20, and at the gate for $25. (Source: Classical Music Board)
