Bonaire Insider Review--Mi Kushina with Chef Herby
I had the opportunity to try out a quick meal at the newly opened Mi Kushina (My Kitchen) by Chef Herby. This new location for quick and economical meals is located in a red kiosk right in Bonaire’s Centrumgebied, or the Town Center of Kralendijk.

Mi Kushina offers a variety of foods from kuminda krioyo (local food), to burgers, to daily chef’s specials. Mi Kushina is open from 7:00 AM for breakfast and soup, sandwiches, pastechi, and krokets, except for Sunday, when it opens at 11:00 AM. At Noon, the lunch menu becomes available serving local stews of goat, beef, or chicken. There is a daily chef’s menu as well, with recent offerings such as lasagna or steak. This reporter tried a cheeseburger ($5.00) which was tasty, cooked perfectly, and was served quickly. Mi Kushina stays open until late in the evening. Food is served “to go,” but those who would like to relax and sit and enjoy their meal may do so in the small grotto area to the south of the kiosk with shaded tables. Juices, soft drinks, and beer, as well as side dishes, are available as well. Mi Kushina offers quick meals, well prepared, for great prices and their availability for meals throughout the day makes it a great place to grab a quick bite.

To find Mi Kushina, look just south of the Rijksdienst building and locate the red kiosk in the middle of the parking area. Then, when you see the sign above, you will have found it! (Source: Bonaire Insider Reporter)
