Bonaire’s Eateries Publish Holiday Menu

Some of the island’s restaurants, hotels, and other eateries are beginning to publish their holiday menus, giving a wide variety of choices for this coming season.

Below are the holiday menus we have received to date (in PDF format):

Patagonia Argentinean Restaurant Celebrates First Anniversary

On Saturday, December 15th, 2007, Patagonia Argentinean Restaurant will celebrate its first anniversary.  As thanks to all their loyal customers, The Palacios Family have plans for a very special evening on the 15th.

Those dining in the restaurant that night will enjoy the mellow music of Bonaire musician, Moogie, well known by the island’s repeat visitors and residents.  Moogie will play from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM on the 15th, and the restaurant is expecting quite a crowd, so reservations are recommended.  For more information or to make a reservation, call 717-7725 or visit their web site by clicking here. Christmas Art Auction Benefits the Bonaire Animal Shelter

On Friday, December 7th, 2007, the Second Annual Christmas Art Auction will be held, with proceeds going to the Bonaire Animal Shelter.  Various artists from the island have donated their work for this auction, in order that the shelter may raise additional funds for their worthy efforts.

Those who are interested in the auction can have a sneak peak via a special web site by clicking here.  At this site, you’ll find short descriptions of the auction items, the size of the artwork, and the starting bid price, so that all may come prepared to purchase their favorite pieces.  Those who are not on-island, but still wish to participate, may make an absentee bid via the Internet.  Click on the special button (How to make a bid) on the web site captioned above, and you may indicate your maximum bid for the item(s) you wish. Buddy Dive Receives Recognition as One of Top Ten Dive Resorts in the World

Hotel & Resort Insider, an on-line travel industry media, recently recognized Bonaire’s Buddy Dive Resort as one of the top ten dive resorts in the world.

This honor is even more special, because Buddy Dive is the only Caribbean resort to have been named.  “We are thrilled to be chosen as one of the best dive resorts.
