Jake Richter - Biography

Jake Richter has lived on Bonaire since 1997 with his talented wife, Linda Richter, and their two children (Krystyana and Sebastian).

Among Jake's history on Bonaire are the founding, writing, and editing of the Bonaire E-News, the creation and maintenance of the world famous Bonaire WebCams, founding (and running up until January 2005) the ever popular BonaireTalk web site and on-line community, and the creation and on-going management of NetTech N.V. - Bonaire's largest and best known web and e-mail hosting company, which in turn operates Bonaire's top web site, InfoBonaire. Jake's partner in NetTech N.V., Susan Davis, came on board in January 2005. Jake also served for a year as a member of the board of BONHATA (the Bonaire Hotel and Tourism Association) back around the turn of the century.

Jake and Linda also founded and still run Support Bonaire, Inc., a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation which helps U.S. taxpayers make donations to various non-profit projects and organizations on Bonaire so that they can qualify for charitable tax deductions with the IRS.

When Jake isn't scouring the streets for news to put on the Bonaire Insider web site, he writes for his own blog, writes articles for others, and provides expert consulting services in the realm of patents and patent litigation to a wide variety of clients.

Jake is also a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, an artist specializing in photography and digital painting, and founder and CTO for several e-commerce web sites, including Bonaire Stuff, Caribbean Art, and Patent Fetcher.
